John Rambo: A Film and Literary Icon

Born on July 6, 1947, in Arizona, John Rambo is the protagonist of both David Morrell's novel and the subsequent film series.

Of mixed descent, Rambo has either a Navajo father or mother, depending on the source (Morrell's novel depicts his mother as Native American, while the film series establishes his father as Navajo).
