Zoelah biography

Two years ago she was broke, practically homeless and depressed about her mother’s illness and subsequent death, but today 24-year-old Vincy Soca Diva Zeolah Boyde is riding high on a wave of success.{{more}}

Last year Zoelah won Best New Song at the launch of Carnival with the runaway hit “Go down low”.

Her other song “Fly away” also received a measure of success. Zoelah also copped endorsement deals with Digicel and Courts and performed in the Caribbean, USA, Canada and England.

For 2008, Zoelah again won the Best New Song award with “Zoom in”.

Her other numbers “Wine up on me” and “In the air” are also doing well, and her endorsements deals with Digicel and Courts were renewed.

In an exclusive interview, Zoelah told SEARCHLIGHT that although she was more focused last year, she is also very proud of her achievements this year and that the industry politics have surely grown stronger.
