Mumbai: The promoter of Cox & Kings Ltd (CKL) has complained against the top managers of the bankrupt tourism company he owned, accusing them of diverting about Rs 2,000 crore to two entities that also had significant borrowing relationships with stressed lender Yes Bank.

Ajay Ajit Peter Kerkar, the promoter of CKL, has said in the First Information Reports (FIRs) with the Mumbai Police that the former top managers allegedly diverted funds causing a potential loss of Rs 5,564 crore to the Cox & Kings Group.

The FIRs names the former CFO Anil Khandelwal, senior account manager Sagar Desphande, company secretary Rashmi Jain, internal auditor Naresh Jain, SSG Capital, and its group companies, including promoter Shyam Maheshwari.

Kerkar has also named six banks in the FIR for allegedly “helping (those named in the FIR) in committing the offences and covering up their criminal acts in lieu of kickbacks
