Igal Svet serves as Vice President of Documentaries at discovery+ where he spearheads development of the creative vision and strategy behind original documentaries.

He is responsible for the ideation and creation of a wide range of projects and oversees the documentary content acquisition from filmmakers around the globe. In his tenure so far, Svet worked with the team at discovery+ to acquire films such as Introducing, Selma Blair, Francesco, Rebel Hearts, Groomed, Miracle Fishing: Kidnapped Abroad, and Citizen Penn.

He was also involved in the development of two discovery+ original documentaries, Attack of the Murder Hornets and Expedition: Back to the Future. Other credits include executive producer of the anthology series, Auto Biography: Racing Legends, as well as The Lost Lincoln.

Prior to his current role at discovery+, Svet served as Vice President of Production and Development for documentaries and specials at Discovery Inc.
